EPA set to unveil 2015 RFS draft proposal

By Growth Energy

While the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is still working on its final 2014 Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS2) rule, yesterday the agency formally announced its intention to release their proposed 2015 RFS targets in September.

According to EPA's Regulatory Development and Retrospective Review Tracker, EPA is aiming to release its notice of proposed rulemaking on the 2015 rule in September, with a final rule issued in March of 2015.

We know what you’re thinking: the EPA doesn’t exactly keep to schedules. In the meantime, be on the lookout for EPA’s final 2014 RFS-RVO announcement in the coming months. The agency may send its final 2014 RFS proposal to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as soon as this week, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any new information as it arises.
