President Obama to visit Poet plant in Missouri (Rapid City Journal)
President Barack Obama on Wednesday is scheduled to visit a Missouri ethanol plant owned by Sioux Falls-based Poet.
Obama will drop by the Poet plant in Macon, Mo., as part of his "White House to Main Street" tour. He'll talk to workers and share his ideas for rebuilding the nation's long-term economy.
Growth Energy CEO Tom Buis says Obama's support of the ethanol industry helps create U.S. jobs in hundreds of towns like Macon, while strengthening the nation's energy independence and national security.
