Growth Energy highlights ethanol pump grants available in Virginia, New York and Washington State
(Biofuels Digest) In Washington, Growth Energy highlighted two programs for ethanol commercialization. The ethanol promotion group is offering $15,000 grants in Virginia and Washington State to install blender pumps in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach-Newport News area of Virginia and in the Seattle-Everett area of Washington State, as part of a $200,000 blender pump program with the DOE.
In addition, Growth Energy reported that the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has extended a Biofuel Station Initiative that will allow for 50 percent of the costs, up to $50,000 per site, for new installations of biofuels dispensing equipment, storage tanks and associated piping equipment. NYSERDA advised that $4 million is still available for retail fueling stations.”
