USDA’s Biofuels Plan
A new USDA report provides a plan to achieve America’s renewable energy goals.
Secretary Vilsack: It’s an opportunity for us to make sure that the availability of ethanol is more readily available to folks in all parts of the country and all four corners of the country. So if you utilize the strengths of each region by creating bio-refineries then you’re going to provide better distribution.
Growth Energy’s Tom Buis made the following statement: “Growth Energy agrees with Secretary Vilsack that ethanol can be a 50-state solution to our fuel crisis – and also our job creation crisis. Ethanol creates jobs right here in America that cannot be outsourced, and with cellulosic ethanol we can cut carbon emissions entirely, according to the EPA’s calculations. And the more domestic ethanol we use, the less we have to rely on foreign energy, which only strengthens our national security.”
