President’s Visit Shows Support for Ethanol Industry and Rural America
As President Obama prepares to visit Growth Energy member plant Poet-Biorefining in Macon, Mo. CEO Tom Buis says that President Obama's trip confirms his Administration's strong support for ethanol producers and Rural America.
"From his first days in office, President Obama has steadfastly supported enacting sound policies that will grow our rural economy and reduce dependence on foreign oil. The Obama administration’s commitment to ethanol runs deeper than a tour or campaign appearance."
The President understands that an investment in renewable fuel will ultimately help our national security and provide a boost to our rural economies. The ethanol industry and America have come a long way since the first ethanol plant was constructed but there is much left to be done. The President's continued leadership in the clean energy debate will help America reach its goal of energy independence.
