Food vs Fuel? More like Food and Fuel Forever!
The USDA’s Biofuels Strategic Production Report says that if the Renewable Fuel Standard targets are to be met by 2022, rather than a shortage of food, there will be a period of food abundance so intense that there will be far more food available than the world will know what to do with.
This revelation further debunks the food vs. fuel myth which was propagated by deep-pocketed industries more interested in making profits than making our country more energy independent.
The report idemonstrates that as demand for clean, renewable ethanol continues to grow, our farmers will be able to meet all the demand for food, fuel and feed in this country, as well as meet all our export obligations.
